Seemingly born with a brush in his hand, Shawn says “Art isn’t just what I do, it’s really who I am. It’s how you perceive the world, how you move through your life in every moment. But we are all artists at heart – some of us just admit it more freely and revel in it more openly.”

After graduating from the Colorado Institute of Art he worked as a Medical Illustrator and Bio-Photographer for a brief stint, then moved to a small design/ advertising company to learn those ropes and then fulfilling a long held dream opened an illustration and design studio of his own.

 In the past twenty something years he has done illustration and design work for:

Magazines/Newspapers: PLAYBOY, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, TIME, TV GUIDE, United Airlines’ PASSAGES, COLUMBIA, COLORADO BIZ, SENIOR MARKET ADVISOR, THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS and THE DENVER POST, among others.

Major Local/National Accounts: Coca-Cola, Frontier Airlines, Celestial Seasonings, Mile Hi Yogurt, Time-Life Books, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies (Baseball AND hockey!), Coors, Johns-Manville, Avis, Winter Park, Breckenridge, Aspen, The Seattle Opera and Rand-McNally, to name a few.

Children’s Books:  Illustrated three Science/Activity Books, designed and illustrated three picture books, illustrated nine children’s early reader chapter books.
